Zero seconds of server downtime – 100% presence

Server monitoring with Cortex Media

CORTEX Media GmbH guarantees premium quality hosting. Where a simple homepage ends, we continue. Our team plans and develops innovative web applications with complex (cloud) applications for SMEs and large companies and places the highest value on unlimited availability.
With server hardware in currently eight data centers around the world, including Hong Kong since the beginning of 2019, we ensure that all our customers’ applications are always available and protected from unauthorized access.

Direct contact

“What sets us apart is that we are the direct and only point of contact for our customers. You don’t have to call through various service hotlines until you reach someone who can help you,” emphasizes CORTEX Media Managing Director Andreas Buchenscheit.

He goes on to draw an impressive balance: “Last year, all our servers experienced an average of zero seconds of downtime. This is made possible by round-the-clock monitoring and fully automated processes. All systems and processes are monitored every ten seconds from five different data centers. “If a failure does occur, our customer usually doesn’t even notice,” says Buchenscheit. “In addition, the many different centers enable us to start test runs using copies of the existing servers so that errors can be rectified directly and do not affect the original server.” The servers are also monitored over the long term. Should anything change, such as an increase in bandwidth requirements as a result of targeted advertising, our team reacts at lightning speed and is in constant communication with the customer.

When it comes to data security, we naturally want to offer unparalleled protection. Firewalls and newly developedintrusion detection systems (IDS) block unauthorized access to data. Daily, automatic backups store the data not only in the same data center, but also in a data center independent of location, thus preventing any loss. The latest technologies and encryption techniques make this special service possible.
