New servers in Paris, Strasbourg, Sydney and Singapore

Server monitoring with Cortex Media

Last week, Cortex Media GmbH switched several servers that had already been running in test mode for two and a half months “live”. The monitoring of the infrastructures in Nuremberg and Ulm is now no longer operated solely from Frankfurt and the aforementioned locations, but also from Paris and Strasbourg.

As a result, impairments and failures are detected even more quickly and reliably via different transport routes, and the hosted applications are continuously monitored and analyzed decentrally for speed and performance. It goes without saying that all of our customers’ sensitive business data remains exclusively on our servers in Germany.

In addition, our first server in Sydney and Singapore went online to expand our CDN (Content Delivery Networks). Our customers with global sales and marketing activities benefit from fast access times to their portals, even from remote countries such as Australia or China, as we provide content “on site”. An extensive website call from Brisbane, for example, which previously took around 14 seconds due to the enormous distance, now only takes around 1 second with all content.

Last but not least, we are pleased to be providing an uplink with a guaranteed 1,000 MBits/s for the Ulm Theater. This is our response to rising visitor numbers and the associated increase in bandwidth requirements for live streaming from the Ulm Theater.
